Information we collect
Action Camera Nerd ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit actioncameranerd.com (the "Site").
The Site is a set of static pages. There is no account system, no login, and no comment system. The only data collected in normal browsing is standard web-server request logging by our host and whatever our analytics provider records, described below.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand which pages are read. It records pages viewed, time on page, the referring source, your approximate location (country and city level), and device and browser type. We use it only to see which pages are useful; we do not use it to show you advertising. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies as described below.
Embedded videos
Some pages embed videos from YouTube, provided by Google LLC. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set YouTube cookies until you press play. Loading a page with an embed still requests the player from Google's servers, and once you play a video YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Cookies
- Essential — none are required for the Site to function. Nothing on the Site is gated behind a cookie.
- Analytics — Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named
_gaand_ga_followed by an identifier) to distinguish one visitor and visit from another. They are not needed for the Site to work.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them does not affect anything you can read here.
Advertising
We do not run display advertising. No advertising network is loaded on any page of this site, no ad cookies are set by us, and there are no ad slots in any layout.
Affiliate links
Some pages may contain affiliate links, under the terms set out in our affiliate disclosure. When you follow one, the destination retailer will apply its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. That is their processing, not ours, and we receive no personal information about you as a result of it — only aggregate commission reporting.
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may earn from qualifying purchases. Following an affiliate link does not pass any personal information to us; we receive only aggregate commission reporting from the retailer.
Fonts and third-party assets
Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com when you load a page. Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No other third-party asset is loaded.
Data you submit
If you email us, we keep your message only as long as we need it to respond and to correct the page it relates to. We do not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties except where required by law.
Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to:
- request access to any personal data we hold about you;
- request correction or deletion of it;
- opt out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell personal data, to anyone, ever.

The Site links to third-party websites, including retailers and manufacturers. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date at the top. A material change — a new category of data, a new processor — will also be noted on the about page.
